A Great Project to use up Scrap Yarn!!

First I decided what size square I wanted to end up with.
I decided to make a 8 x 8 square, so I made 8 strips
each 2 x 8 inches.

Then I wove the strips together and pinned them to hold strips in place.

Then I crocheted around the edge with a single crochet stitch,
connecting the strips together.

Then I crocheted around the square with a double crochet stitch.

Then sewed the squares together and added another row of
double crochet around the outer edge of completed afghan.

Easy Peasy Fun!!!!!

Have a seat!!

Aren't they adorable!!

They are so fun and easy to make!

I found the pattern on :                                                               http://www.simplesimonandco.com/2011/06/summer-camp-chair-tutorial-that-you-can.html

But here are a few adjustments I made.
the 7" pieces I cut at 71/2" to hold in place better.

Then I made the smaller chair by cutting the 15" pieces at
12" instead and cut the 10" pieces at 9" and the
7" pieces  at 6 1/2".
So Cute!!!

I got all me supplies at  Home Depot and they even cut the pieces right there for me!!
Could not have been any easier!

** Make sure and get a locking washer for the bolts!  Mine kept coming loose whenever
I opened and closed the chairs!
(I couldn't stop playing with them, hahaha)

I can't wait till my nieces and nephews come and try them out!
